Gas Appliance Safety Check (GAS Check®)
Consolidated Gas is a participant in the Gas Appliance Safety Check
program through the National Propane Gas Association. This safety
program involves a one to three hour system check that includes:
• Pressure testing the entire propane system, and inspecting the
tank, piping, regulator, gauges, connectors, valves, vents,
thermostats, pilots, burners and appliance control.
• Informing the customer of any equipment that may be worn or
damaged and should be replaced
• Recommending any improvements that may be of long-term benefit to
the customer’s system.
• Advising customers of the safe and efficient ways of operating
their system and familiarizing them with the odor of propane and
leaving instructions on what should be done in the event that the odor
of propane is detected.
Your safety and peace of mind is of utmost importance to Consolidated
Gas.

Propane, Carbon Monoxide, and Methane Detector
Propane gas is one of the safest fuels available today, but we
understand your concern for safety. That is why we offer an inexpensive
and easy-to-install detector that protects your safety and gives you the
peace of mind you deserve.
The propane, carbon monoxide and methane detector is a small unit
that simply plugs into the wall. This is available through our office or
from the installation/delivery technician.
